                                   bio

Rick is a  teacher, poet, screenwriter, and critic who publishes poetry, fiction, nonfiction, book and film reviews, and gives regular performances of his work. He earned a MFA from the University of California, Riverside where he studied screenwriting and poetry. Rick is also graduate of the University of Nebraska at Kearney where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Education in English Language Arts, a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy, and a Master of Arts in English. Rick served as poetry editor for The Coachella Review, as well as a reviewer for Trillium Literary Journal, and he is currently a staff writer for Coldfront Mag. Rick teaches English in Nebraska where he lives with his wife, Kina and their two sons, Brock and Kehler.
